About

At Eaton Socon Pre-school we believe that parents are their child’s first and most important educator, that children learn best through play and that children learn well in social groups such as family, friends, their childcare setting and the local community.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework 2014 (updated in 2017), which sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. EYFS helps us to explore important learning areas with your child, whilst taking in to account their individual abilities, interests and special educational requirements. We have special expertise in supporting and developing children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) with a designated SEND Coordinating Officer, please feel free to contact us to speak with our SENDCO about any aspect of your child’s development and care.

We encourage all parents to get involved in the everyday life of ESPS. We work with parents to develop the best approach to support and benefit their child’s overall learning and development. We also provide extra support services for parents, offering advice about a range of things including your own child’s development, children’s services within the local community and accessing opportunities to cover the costs of childcare.
